It was so great to meet everyone last night at meet the teacher night!
I am so excited to get the opportunity to teach your children.
I have taught first grade for two years. I taught third grade last year and now I am back in first!
I absolutely love this age and I LOVE to teach first grade!
I know many of you had questions about the schedule with specials, lunch and how the kids will get their money off of their lunch account. I am still not sure of the specials schedule. This is something I will find out on Monday. I do know that students go to specials at 11:00-11:55 each day. One day a week, they will not have specials and we will have that extra time to learn in the classroom! The lunch schedule has also already changed since last night! Students will have lunch at 12:05-12:25 (or until done eating). Then, they will go out for recess until 1:05. So, instead of 2 separate recesses, they have one long one.
To access money on lunch accounts: all students have a student I.D. I will have this ready for them on the first day of school. They will keep this number throughout their time at Hoffman.
Also, do not forget to sign up for Class Dojo. This is how I will communicate behavior updates to you. If you do not have access to an online account, please let me know so I can print your child's behavior report on a bi-weekly basis.
If you've lost your code to sign up (trust me I understand that can happen in a 24 hour time period), then just let me know. It's really easy for me to pull it back up!

If you didn't bring your school supplies in yesterday, no worries. But, please try to have them in on the first day of school. We're not going to waste any time and we will need many of the supplies right away! Please send in binders, folders and notebooks labeled. This helps me out tremendously so I know who has and who has not brought in school supplies.
